ADMISSIONS ADVISORY

We take pride in our ability to help families navigate the often foggy path to admission at New York’s top private schools. We work closely with each of our clients to make sure their application is presented in the best light possible. We not only educate families about the admissions process, we are also deeply involved in all stages of the application process itself - from editing personal essays to interview and exam preparation. TEST PREPARATION

It is no secret that several top private schools require applicants to take standardized tests. We have carefully formulated a curriculum that prepares your child to successfully pass these exams with flying colors. Rest assured that our tutors will prepare your child for all question types - from verbal and quantitative reasoning to reading and mathematics. We offer test preparation services for K-12 students who will be taking the AABL, ISEE, and SSAT exams.

Essay Editing

Private schools often require that students and parents submit essays as part of the application process. We have a team of writing professionals who will help carefully craft and polish your admissions essay. Our writing experts are all current and former professors of writing and journalism at Columbia University. We put a great deal of effort into making sure your essays are exceptionally written and stand out among the applicant pool.

PARENT INTERVIEW PREPARATION

Family interviews carry significant weight in the private school admissions process. We hold mock interviews with parents to prepare them for interviewer questions and guide their responses to make sure they provide their child with the best chances for admission.

Student interviews are conducted differently depending on the private school, and we make sure your child is prepared for every setting. Although we do not present your child with a script, we ensure your child exhibits the qualities, demeanor, and intelligence that admissions officers look for in applicants.

PLAYDATE PRACTICE & COORDINATION

For Nursery and Pre-K applicants, admission officers will often prepare detailed reports assessing your child’s behavior in playgroups held as part of the interview process. We organize playgroups throughout the year to assess your child’s behavior so that he or she may learn to exhibit the qualities highly valued by admissions officers - from cooperation, leadership and friendship to sportsmanship and likability.
